Results and reports by Event

For our first ever race in a pair this wasn't too bad at all. I don't think anyone expected us to win (particually as one of the opposition pairs were CULBC spare pair), and we were only 20s slower than M2 at Robinson head (which is if anything a shorter course).

The boat felt initially scrappy before settling into a nice, long rhythm. The steering round the corners was excellent (thanks Anton/ Dave) even if a quick adjustment to the rudder after yesterdays outing meant that Ditton and First Post became a lot harder work for me while Grassy became easier for Dave... The rowing then became scrappier as we went under the railway bridge before picking up again at the end (the Emma double chasing us was something nice to push off).
