1st for Division 2

Amarynth Sichel reports:

After a start that was later likened to the image of a spider flailing on its back, Clare W2 pulled it together to cruise to a win over Darwin W2. Next, W2 faced off against W3. W3 gave some serious chase, but in the end, W2 pulled off a second victory (despite a minor bank crash and an oncoming barge), winning pot for the second time in one weekend. Yellow fire!

3rd Women's VIII

Bow: Jordan McCrissican 2: Rachel Newhouse 3: Mariam Haji 4: Maggie Wang 5: Coco Cowper 6: Nina Cooper 7: Victoria Lindley Stroke: Eleanor Krige Cox: Tom Quarrell

2nd in Division 2

Eleanor Krige reports:

This time Ollie’s race plan was for us to hit the highest rate possible, even if that meant losing the race. Luckily we managed to keep the rate up for the whole race (even if it wasn’t as high as he might have liked) and beat Lucy Cavendish W2. We were then up against our own Clare W2. Even though the odds weren’t in our favour, we remained hopeful. We started out strong but W2 managed to pull ahead to secure a victory- though I don’t think we came in too far behind!
