Lost to Downing by a bowball :(
Report by Ferdi and Phil:
Set off, rushed up and down the slide 40 times, lost by a bowball (the umpire had to debate between that result and it being a dead heat), accepted Downing’s offer of a re-row, Downing rowed home instead, rowed home.

W1 report:
After a powerful pre-paddle, W1 were fired up and ready to bring the aggression at City Sprints. A last minute scratch from Pembroke meant we were straight into the first race of the day against Nines. Starting 3/4 length behind, we spun up to rate 40 (which was held throughout), managed to move slightly on Nines and then hold our position to finish an impressive second out of our 2 boat category.
Thanks to Nines for a really fun race and to City for organising, W1 are now pumped up and looking forward to bringing the fire the rest of term!
