A good race.

Even although logistically, IVs rowing was not practical for us this term, I felt it was very important for Clare to show face at uni IVs. I'm glad we did so, even although we had trained less than all our opposition. I was very pleased with our race - it was certainly faster than the practise pieces we had achieved, and we always relatively unlikely to best the strong Christ's crew. Our start was not our best and Christs took 2 lengths out of us with their greater neatness. However, sheer "onions" saw us sitting at that distance for most of the race and when we pushed, my god, you could feel it. Great paddling on the way home!
