As this was our second outing as the development crew for Mays we decided to cap ourselves to rate 32. We went off hard at the start as is tradition but settled onto rate half way down first post reach. Coming out of first post and through the gut we perhaps took it a little too easy dropping down to rate 30. However we soon got back on target and were able to maintain a reasonably strong row. Coming out of Ditton we took some really great powerful strokes and got the boat really moving. We wound it up towards the end for a strong finish and got a reasonable time for where we are in the season. There is a lot of work to do if we want to be successful but training together as a crew now is going to give us that extra advantage over everyone else come Mays. The next race leg of winter league is in a month, should expect to knock a few seconds off that time.
