Lent Bumps Getting-on Race 2007

6th out of 16 crews who didn't get on in a time of 9:57, 7 seconds behind the fastest crew that didn't get on
After a hard term of training for the one big race of the season for the third ladies, the result was a good one even thought it did not lead to the wanted result of getting onto the bumps.
The start of the race went well for the ladies, and this showed in the rowing abilities and the team efforts which were seen from the bank. However the wind was against the crew as it was a weather condition which these women had not really been confronted with as a boat, apart from the few who had the misfortune of the wind at Moseley. The crew carried on in good spirits and worked their hardest all the way to the finish. The ladies had a good result and they did better than other reputable boats in the GoR. A good result for these ladies, and expect to see alot more from them in up and coming races.
